Mary Willena Walton

          Mary Willena Walton (nee Muir) passed away peacefully in Embro on Wednesday January 29, 2025 in her 99th year.  Loving wife of the late Lorne Walton.  Beloved mother of James (Bonnie), David (Dawn), Elizabeth Elliott (Nigel), Kathryn (Henry Veenstra), Robert (Karen) and Thomas (Emily).  Cherished grandmother of 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.  Dear cousin of Kathryn Bennington.  Mary was predeceased by her husband Lorne, son James, grandson Amos Walton, and brothers Watson (Scoot) and Symons Muir. 

          Mary was involved in many community volunteer organizations, as well as being the heart of the family farm.  Her door was always open and her kindness touched many lives.

          A Public Celebration of Mary’s Life will be held on Saturday February 8th 2025, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., at the Embro Community Centre, 355644 35th Line, Embro, Ontario.  There will be a Private Family Service.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Christ Church Huntingford, Woodstock, Ontario, or the charity of one’s choice.
