Neil Cameron LaForme - Celebration of Life

d. August 13, 2024

Tillsonburg, Ontario

Please join us for a Celebration of Cam's Life on Sunday September 22, 2024, from 1 to 4 p.m., at the Tillsonburg Legion Branch 153, 16 Durham Street, Tillsonburg, Ontario.

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Neil ‘Cam’ Cameron LaForme, our loved husband, father, papa, brother and friend to many on Tuesday August 13, 2024.

Cam was the loved husband of Karen (nee Butchart), Father of Tracy (Ron Laing) and Shaun, proud Papa of Cadence, Emma, Landon, Hudson, and Novaleigh.  Much loved brother of Gary LaForme and brother-in-law of Cheryl (Guy) Simon, Chris Butchart, Chuck Butchart (Adrienne Sims), Katy Butchart, and Marilyn LaForme.  Predeceased by his mother Alice, brother Nick LaForme, in-laws Ron and Janet Butchart, nephew Neil Simon, and his cousin and partner in crime Ed LaForme.

Cam loved to be doing anything outdoors, going for walks in the rain, riding his bike, camping, sitting by the fire, or puttering in his yard.  He loved to travel down South with Karen and close friends.  He loved reading, doing jigsaw puzzles and spending time with his grandchildren.  He was always there to lend a hand to anybody that needed it.

His journey on this earth may have come to an end but his love and legacy will remain in the hearts of those that were fortunate enough to be a part of his life.

In lieu of flowers, please celebrate Cam’s life by considering a memorial donation to Purrfect Companions of Norfolk or to Victoria Quilts.  There will be a Celebration of Cam's Life on Sunday September 22, 2024, from 1 to 4 p.m., at the Tillsonburg Legion Branch 153, 16 Durham Street, Tillsonburg, Ontario.

If I'm being honest Papa was a kind loving spirit, he loved nature and he would never hurt a fly.  He would always play with me and Nova even if he had a sore back or anything.  I want to say thank you for being a great Papa to your grandkids.  He would always encourage me and help me push through tough things.  He would always play outside with me.  I just want to say thank you.  I love you and I miss you.
