Norm passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 2, 2025 at the young age of 92. Norm lived a full life and enjoyed every day to the fullest.
He leaves behind his wife Monica, son Bruce, three stepchildren, Ashley, Winston and Demelza, grandchildren Sandy, and Mike, great grandson Ayden, nine step-grandchildren, his extended family in Ireland, the UK, Quebec Canada and around the globe, and his many friends. Norm was greatly loved by family and friends.
Born in Welland, Ontario, he spent his working years in Quebec and moved to Ontario in 2006. Norman was a spiritual man, patient, and open hearted and minded. He was interested in health, nutrition, technology and fitness. He could still climb a ladder to trim the trees in the yard in his 90’s! Norm loved the outdoors, camping, sitting by the fire, fishing and long walks. He was a father to many and will be greatly missed. Norm left a legacy in many lives especially in the family of his first wife, Maxine Ford.
Our family extends a big thank you to Karen and Randi Ford who were helping Monica during the last hours of his life. We also want to send a huge thank you to the Medical Team in Oxford County who have looked after Norm’s health care needs for the last 6 months and helped to make his life enjoyable to the very end.
Norman’s resting place will be in the family cemetery in Quebec; it will be strictly family only. He wished for all to remember him as you knew him and savour the happy memories gained throughout his years in Bright, Ontario.
