Owen Lee Barker

          Owen Lee Barker in his 73rd year, passed away peacefully at Woodstock Hospital surrounded by family on Thursday January 8th, 2026.

          He leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years, Cheryl ‘Cheri’, his daughters Kimberly (Shawn), and Crystal (James), his grandchildren Cassidy (Theoreon), Alexis, Jaxson, and Emerson.  He will be missed by his cats Jake and Squirtle.  Remembered and missed by his brother Ken (Judy), his sister Ruth, and several extended family members.  He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Vera Barker, and his sister Dianne.

          He is well known in the classic car community for his love of loud engines and the beautiful cars he and his wife shared through the years, including the well - known 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 called "The Wanderer".

          We would like to thank the doctors and nurses in the Woodstock Hospital Critical Care Unit.

          A Celebration of life will be held on Sunday May 24th, 2026, from 1-5 p.m., at the Woodstock Navy Club, 959 James St., Woodstock, Ontario. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, or Rags to Riches Cat Rescue would be greatly appreciated.
