Sallie Patricia ‘Pat’ Force-Reeves
February 16, 1948 - April 15, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sallie Patricia ‘Pat’ Force-Reeves, age 75, at Sakura House, after a short and courageous battle with cancer.
Loving mother of Tami (Chris) Coyle and Eric (Michela) Force. Proud “Gramma Pat” of Sydney and Nick Force. Adored by her “grand-puppy” Kacey. Mother figure to Brandy (Martin) Grant and their sons Justin and Brad. Predeceased by her parents, Jim and Ann Yancey, and her brother Mike Yancey. Pat will be missed by her brother, retired Cpt. John E. Vinson (Marilyn), her sister Gemmie (Greg, 2018) Diehl, and sister-in-law Terry Yancey, all of Phoenix, Arizona. “Fun loving” Aunt to her many nieces and nephews residing in Georgia and Arizona.  A good time was always to be had when Aunt Pat was around.
Cherished friend of Terry Padula and June Todd (Arizona), Sylvia and Andrew Koczerzuk (Kingsville), Cheryl Barr, Heather deGraf, and Rita Lewis (Woodstock). Many fun adventures were had with these friends over the years and she was very fortunate to be loved and supported by each of them.
Pat truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. Cheering on her favourite sports teams (Toronto Blue Jays, Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors and she shared her love for the Pittsburgh Steelers with her son-in-law Chris).
She enjoyed creating different crafts over the years and was so proud to show off her latest creation.
She was a proud volunteer with Branch 55 Ladies Auxiliary, Ronald McDonald House in Sun City, Arizona, St. John Ambulance Pet Therapy program and the Alzheimer Society of Oxford.
She has been a longtime member of Order of Eastern Star No.27 Khaki Chapter, Woodstock.
Later in life, she enjoyed travelling with family and friends to various places in the USA, Europe and the Caribbean. It was always an adventure when she made the long drive from Ontario to Phoenix to visit.
Pat was one of a kind, known for her bubbly personality and humour. She will be greatly missed, but will always be “the sunshine on our shoulders”.
In keeping with Pat’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  Wareing Cremation Services, 225 Norwich Avenue, Woodstock, Ontario has been entrusted with Final Arrangements.  There will not be a visitation or funeral service, however, a Celebration – “Pat’s Party” will take place at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions can be made to VON Sakura House or the Alzheimer Society of Oxford.
The family would like to thank Dr. P. Kocsis and his office staff for Pat’s care over the years, nursing staff of 2500 unit, Diane Murray and the Palliative Care Nursing Staff 2200 unit all of Woodstock Hospital.
A special THANK YOU to the incredible staff at VON Sakura House for their care and compassion helping us through this extremely difficult time. It will never be forgotten.
