Paul Zuk passed away peacefully on Wednesday September 13, 2023, at Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock Ontario, in his 98th year.
Paul is survived by Doris his loving wife of 73 years, daughter Beverley Marchant, and son Robert Zuk; grandchildren Paul Marchant (Jenn), Charly Zuk, and Andie Zuk, and great grandchild, Kenny Marchant. Predeceased by his son Michael (1951-2018). Paul was a Husband, Father, Grandfather and recently a Great Grandfather. Dad was our family's Rock of Gibraltar, always there when we needed support and guidance or just some very firm sage advice. He was a man of honour, dignity, loyalty, and duty.
Paul Zuk grew up on the farm leaving home to join the Canadian Navy at the end of WWII. After the Navy he attended the University of Saskatchewan. In 1950 Paul and Doris Winfield of Shelbourne Nova Scotia married in Preeceville, Saskatchewan and moved to Toronto Ontario. He worked on the AVRO Arrow project in Malton, Ontario followed by several Executive positions in the communications and semiconductor industries in both Canada and the USA. Once leaving the corporate world Paul and Doris opened M&R Sports in Mississauga. After 20 years of bicycle sales and repair and skate sharpening, Paul and Doris retired to the Tillsonburg area where they lived for over 25 years. We would like to thank the Staff at both Strathmere Lodge, Strathroy, Ontario and Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock, Ontario for the special care and attention they gave our father.
A private memorial service for Paul Zuk will be held in the future for family and friends.
