Richard Michael Sauve

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Richard ‘Rick’ Sauvé on July 3, 2023, peacefully in his home, in his 75th year, surrounded by his family.
Rick is survived by his loving wife, Louise Sauvé (née Beaulieu); his daughter Danielle (with husband Steven) Nazarian, and grandchildren Talia, and Amelia; his son Jean Paul; his step son Andrew Valade (with wife Samantha), along with grandchildren Nevehan, Maezie, and Maverick; his sister Cathy (with Robert McConnell).
Rick leaves behind his niece Leslie Mask (née Muir) (with husband Kurt and their children Nicolas and Sarah); his nephew Jamie Muir (with wife Sandra); his niece Pamela Blanchet (née Czerwinski) (with husband Neil and their children Liam and Daelynn); his nephew Michael Czerwinski (with wife Valerie and their children Indiana and Maverick).
Rick also leaves behind his faithful dog Tia, and special friends Douse, Ginny, Nikki, Linda and Clare, Kim and Anne.
He was predeceased by his parents; Marcel Sauvé and Pearl Richards; and his sister Shaylene Muir.
Rick was born in New Liskeard, Ontario on September 7, 1948 to Pearl and Marcel Sauvé.
He worked at The Beer Store in London from 1972, and then in Timmins, before he retired in 2006, and finally moving to Woodstock, Ontario, where he was residing with his wife Louise until he passed.  Rick and Louise met, married in 2004, and lived in Timmins until they moved to Woodstock in the summer of 2022.
He was an avid Patriots fan, and loved to cook and prepare grand feasts for friends and family in “his” kitchen at Chez Rick.  He always loved to find new ways to prepare their favourite foods, and had to have the latest and greatest kitchen gadgets.
The family would like to thank the Staff of the Woodstock Hospital for the wonderful care he received there just prior to his passing, along with Doctor Blake and his Kidney Care Team in London.
At Ricks request, there will be no funeral service.
Cremation has taken place.  Wareing Cremation Services, 225 Norwich Ave., Woodstock, Ontario has been entrusted with Final Arrangements.  Your messages of condolence can be shared here at wareingcremation.ca
