Roger Lemelin

Roger Lemelin, of Iroquois Falls Ontario, passed away suddenly on Sunday September 17, 2023 at the Woodstock Hospital.
Roger was born in Iroquois Falls on February 6, 1954. He was the son of the late Octave Lemelin and Jocelyne Lemelin (nee Chartier).
Roger loved hockey. He played in the OHL for the London Knights at the young age of 15. His success led him to be drafted by the NHL’s Kansas City Scouts and the Colorado Rockies. He also played for various other pro levels where he won a Calder Cup with the Hershey Bears. During his NHL career, he was known as a great teammate, and a heavy hitter.
After his NHL career, he met the love of his life Colette Thompson, (passed away June 4, 2023), and together they brought their loving daughter Jennifer Lemelin into the world. He loved his family, and most of all he loved Jesus.  He had a positive outlook on life no matter what challenges he was faced with.
Roger is survived by his children Jennifer Lemelin, Eric Judd (Claire Dowling), Lindsay Robson (Travis Robson), Carly Judd (Anwer Khaja), his grandchildren, William Judd, Natalie Judd, Samantha Judd, Ethan Robson, and Owen Robson, his brothers and sisters Marie-Anne David, Denis Lemelin (Mary), Louise Montreuil (Raymond), Suzanne Tremblay (Raymond), Robert Lemelin (Monique), and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Roger will be remembered for his big heart, willingness to help, his contagious laugh, his invaluable advice, and his acceptance and love for everyone.
