Ronald Long

          Ronald Long passed peacefully on Tuesday July 7, 2026 with family by his side, in his 76th year, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital.

          Cherished husband and best friend of Gwen (nee Walters) for 47 years.  Loving Dad of his incredible children Cindy DeJonghe, the late Jeremy Long, and Jamie (Kerry) Long.  Grandpa of Matthew and Landon, and Charlotte, Jack, and Sydney.  Dearly loved brother of Melvin (Sandra) Long, Neda Boterberg, Janice (Jack) Sheldon, and Paulie (Rin) Hill.  Ron is remembered by the extended Walters Family, and by his many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents Alfred (1974) and Glennis (2001), his sister Jean Anne Long (2026), and his brother-in-law Ed Boterberg.

          Please join us in celebrating Ron’s life at a Celebration being held on Saturday August 8, 2026, from 1 to 3 p.m., at the Carriage Hall, 25 Brock St. W., Tillsonburg, Ontario.  There will be a private family graveside service with interment in the Otterville Cemetery.
