Ruth Ann M. Williams

Words cannot express the heartache we feel to announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Ruth Ann Marie Williams on Tuesday December 5th, 2023 at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital.  Ruth Ann was in her 78th year.

Loving wife of Wayne Williams for 60 years.  Mother of Kimberley Fleming, and Kevin and his wife Sheryl Williams.  Grandmother of Alyssa Williams and fiancé Carey, Dylan and his wife Jaden Williams, Jessica and her husband Joshua Hunte, and Kaitlyn Fleming and friend Charles. Great Grandmother of Beau and Rhett Williams, and Lucas Hunte.  Ruth Ann was predeceased by her parents Arnold and Violet Marshall, and she was the sister of Bob, Bill, Carl, Jim, Harold, Don, Irwin, Floyd, Marilyn, and Linda.

Ruthie, as she was fondly called, believed that our wealth was not how much money you have, the size of your home, or the kind of vehicle you drive, but was your family values, the pride and love you have for each other, and the support you give family and friends in difficult times.  She gave us a family to be proud of.  I believe her favourite two words were “love you”, which we often heard.  And, I am sure she is in a grocery aisle in heaven somewhere chatting with someone….yes dear, I’ll just sit here and wait for you.  Love you Ruthie.

Thank you to the ambulance attendants, the doctors, and the nurses in TDMH Emergency and ICU, and a very special thank you to Barb Wareing for your help and compassion at this very difficult time.  There will be no Service or Visitation; a private burial will take place next Spring at New Road Cemetery for the immediate family and friends.
