Woodstock, Ontario

Samson William Myers, 68, passed away peacefully on Saturday March 21st, 2026 at University Hospital in London, Ontario.  Born on May 25, 1957, in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, Sam was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Sam is lovingly remembered by his wife Antoinette ‘Toni ’ Myers, his daughter Staci Hough (Alex) Hough, and his cherished grandchildren Chloe and Jensen Hough, who brought him immense pride and joy.  He is survived by his brothers John Myers (Brenda), Fred Myers (Audrey), sister-in-law Wanda Oldford, his many nieces and nephews, and his loyal companion pug Blue.  He was predeceased by his parents William ‘Billy’ and Violet Myers, his brother Kenneth Myers (Brenda), his sister Deborah Stefan (Louis), and his brother Herb Oldford.

Sam was a man who loved deeply and quietly, showing his care through his actions.  He was known for his stubborn streak - something those closest to him knew well - but also for his generous heart.  He was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need without hesitation.  Nothing meant more to Sam than his family.  Whether it was spending time together, sharing stories, or simply being present, he treasured those moments above all else. He also found great joy in the simple pleasures of life - playing a round of golf, or cheering on his favourite teams, the Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

A celebration of Sam’s life will be held at a later date.  In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Sam’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or London Health Sciences Foundation.

Sam’s legacy is one of love, loyalty, and quiet generosity. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
