Samuel Watson

December 1, 1958 — April 12, 2024

Tillsonburg, Ontario

After a short battle with cancer Samuel Watson passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his wife and kids.

Sam is survived by his wife and BFF of 15 years Marj Watson, his loving Mother Dolly, and his children Pauline (Jay), Stacey (Gary), Dawn (Tim), Leah (Taylor), and Luke (Ashley).  Loved by his eight granddaughters, Jayden, Gracie, Tori, Callie, Sammie, Victoria, Olivia, and Kyler, and three great grandchildren, Avah, Madyson, and Christian.  Always remembered by his sisters Shelly (Skeet), and Candy, brothers Andy (Deb), and Joe (Jackie), his in laws Don and Aileen Poole, sister-in-law Laura, brothers-in-law Steve, and Murray (Kathy), and all of his nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his Father William Watson, sister Susie, granddaughter Sadie, and brother-in-law Danny.

Sam was retired but he had a successful career with Nestle and Otter Valley Foods, and most recently wanted to give back by volunteering at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital.

Sam’s Number 1 joy in life was his family.  He loved to sit back and soak in the love and laughter of those around him.  He enjoyed his many summers spent in Port Bruce with his family and friends.   Fishing with his wife and buddies; hunting with Skeet, his brother, sons, and nephews; his trips down South.   A lifelong Maple Leaf and Blue Jays Fan, Sam did watch and enjoy anything sports related.

We know he is gone to be with his companion Titan, most likely out there throwing numerous sticks into the lake on a warm, sunny day.

“Remembering you is easy, I do it every day

but there is an ache within my heart

that will never go away.”

Keeping with Sam’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no funeral services will be held.  The family will have a private celebration of life at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations made to Carepartners or the LHSC Cancer Centre in Sam’s memory are most appreciated.

Special appreciation and gratitude to Nurses Suzanne, Sharon and Tina, and to Dr. Caperdione for all of their help and support during this time.

Wareing Cremation Services, 346 Simcoe St., Tillsonburg, Ontario has been entrusted with Final Arrangements.  Your messages of remembrance and condolence may be shared here at wareingcremation.ca
