Sarah Jane Loft, passed away peacefully on Thursday October 10, 2024 with mom by her side at Sakura House, Woodstock, Ontario.

She will be missed by her aunts and uncles, Virginia Minihane, Sue Kirkpatrick, Cathy Loft (Deb Kelly), Dianne Loft (Garry Honcoop), Mary Jo Piche, Emily (Larry) Piche, Jackie White (Gary Price), Helen Carter, and Loretta White, and by her many cousins. Sarah was predeceased by her father Richard ‘Dick’ Loft, Grandparents Richard Charles Loft and Norma Jean (nee Bell) Loft, Patrick A. White and Agnes (nee Childs) White, and by her Uncles Peter Loft, Bill Minihane, Bev Kirkpatrick, and Pat Carter.
Sarah touched the lives of many in her 46 years that will always hold a special place in your hearts. The memories she left behind, the courage she had for life and what it threw at her; she challenged herself with her heart and soul until the end. As she said to me "that damn kidney"; she wished it would have lasted longer and because it lasted as long as it did (19 years), we have all those precious Sarah moments....her smile and laughter, her love of life, her strength, and her courage to endure so much gives us so much to remember her by.
Sarah is now at peace with her dad who held a special place in her heart. They did so many cool dad and daughter things together it is difficult to list them all. When she went to the blind school, events like Canada’s Wonderland especially, he would go and get her instead of busing with the rest of the students. They went together, just the two of them, and had a blast on the rides. That was one of her most favorite times.
There are the many years of family and friend’s beach/cottage memories. Sarah loved the campfires made by her brother Ryan and marshmallow treats - they were her fav. There are the stories of the “dock rock” and catching a fish through the eye (LOL) with Dana Kent. The famous “Boris” the yellow lab who she always imitated his tail hitting the deck at the Jordan’s and how he turned his nose up for some reason at mom’s gravy, if you can imagine! That was always a good story she would tell. Sarah would want you to treasure your special Sarah memories, her love for you and of life, and what it meant to each of you is what she left behind as her legacy.
My love, as you know, for Sarah was beyond measure and I will always have my lifetime of memories of our special “Sarah and mom” times together. There were so many…
