Sharon Elizabeth Maybee

With heartfelt loss, the family wishes to announce the passing of Sharon at Woodingford Lodge in Woodstock, Ontario Wednesday July 17, 2024.

Mother of CheyAnne Mabey, Barbara (Rick) Tucker, and Todd Mabey.  Sharon is survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.  She was dearly loved and missed by Debbie Clark.  Loving companion to Frank Green.  Sharon’s loss is mourned by all the Green family.  Sharon was predeceased by her son, David. 

Sharon was born in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia.  She came to Woodstock, Ontario in 1967.  Over time Sharon raised four children on her own. During this time, she returned to school to achieve her Grade 12 education and then attended college studying photography.  Sharon provided for her family by working at a variety of jobs for several years.

Her interests and joys included gardening, her dog Shelby, car shows, needlepoint and family genealogy.  She was an amazing cheerleader at her grandson Aaron’s soccer events as he grew up.  Sharon was an avid volunteer for many organizations in Woodstock.  However, her greatest joy and love was for her family.

“When you speak of her, speak not with tears, for thoughts of her should not be sad.  Let memories of times that you shared give you comfort, for her life was enriched because of you.”

A Celebration of Life will follow at a later date.  Wareing Cremation Services, 225 Norwich Ave., Woodstock, Ontario was entrusted with Final Arrangements.  Your messages of remembrance and condolence may be shared here at wareingcremation.ca
