It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Sharon “Sherry” Vervaecke on Wednesday April 3, 2024, in her 70th year, at Woodstock Hospital, surrounded by her children and loved ones.
Sherry is the beloved Mother of Shelley Vervaecke (Geoff Krafft), Dianna Vervaecke (Aaron Magoffin) and Lailie Deadman (Jamie Deadman). Sherry was a very proud “Nan” to Allysha Neutel (Rob Summers), Tyler Gillis (Dana Musch), Jacob Deadman, Alexa Deadman, Everon Kent, Camden Kent-Magoffin, Nylah, Mason and Levi Krafft. Sister to Brian Minshall (Rose) and Shelley VanMeekeren (Herman). Predeceased by her brothers Larry Minshall and Michael Minshall. Although family dynamics changed over the years, Sherry had a special place in her heart for Tracy Gibbons and daughter Emily, and Chuck Gibbons (Sheena).
Sherry successfully raised and bred Golden Retrievers for many years. It wasn’t uncommon for her to be found at conformation shows cheering from the sidelines. Very much an animal advocate, her love of animals extended to cats as well, with a soft spot for the less fortunate and those in need of special care.
Sherry was a friend to many and a fierce protector of those she loved. She was ever present to anyone who needed a shoulder to lean on or a helping hand. While Sherry’s physical presence is missed earthside, we are comforted knowing that heaven wasn’t where she was needed. We are convinced that she was called to and has been reunited with her beloved pets and former rescues at the Rainbow Bridge.
Live.
Love.
Cackle ❤️
