Shelley Ann Wilson

Shelley was born on September 8, 1960 and passed October 20, 2020. She spent the initial years of her life in British Columbia and Alberta before coming to Ontario where she was a devoted mother of four wonderful children; Krystelle Shaughnessy (Darren Cope) of Ottawa, Jayme-Lynn Shaughnessy (Justin Williams) of Woodstock, Mitchell (Lindsay) Shaughnessy of Port Elgin and Cameron Shaughnessy (nomad). Shelley is a beloved Nana to five fabulous grandchildren; Brighton, Cole, Mya, Lillian, and Simon. Shelley leaves behind her father, Melford Wilson of BC and her brother Shawn (Marlene) Wilson of Ingersoll and additional family (aunts, uncles and cousins) in BC, Alberta, and Ontario. Shelley also leaves her husband, Kevin Hanenburg whom she met and spent the last 15+ years with enjoying life, a few travels together, but mostly time with family and friends. Kevin will miss Shelley dearly.

Shelley was a life-loving free soul who thoroughly enjoyed travel, having vacationed in The Caribbean, Mexico, Costa Rica, Spain, France, The Netherlands, just to name a few. She tackled many ventures in her life ranging from photography, coaching, teaching, Financial Planning, to owning and operating a day care until her health started to fail. In her final years, Shelley maintained a vibrant full agenda and calendar spending time with family and friends as much as possible. 

A sincere thank you is extended to Dr. Logan and her Team at the LHSC Cancer Clinic in London, and a special thank you to Dr. Fryer and all the staff at Sakura House. Your years of compassionate health care are greatly appreciated. Thanks also to her daily Health Care Providers; Young Mee, Bev and Janice, and the Out-Patient Clinic at the WGH, Jennifer, Shelly, and Heather.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations to VON Sakura House are appreciated and may be made directly, or by cheque through Wareing Cremation Services, 225 Norwich Ave., Woodstock (519-290-5575) entrusted with arrangements. Condolences may be shared at www.wareingcremation.ca
