Shirley Ann Hawkins

          Shirley Ann Hawkins, formerly of Tillsonburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 4, 2026 at Woodingford Lodge in Woodstock in her 78th year.  Shirley was the much loved daughter of William and Kathleen Hawkins.

          For many years of her teaching career Shirley taught for the Grand Erie District School Board.  Always a dedicated teacher, Shirley helped her young students learn with patience, encouragement, and praise.  In her free time Shirley enjoyed biking, roller skating, and watching her vast movie collection.  She also loved photography, and often took photos of colourful autumn trees and sunsets.  Shirley faced life with determination, cheerfulness, and a strong faith in the Lord.  Shirley was a member of St. John’s Anglican Church in Tillsonburg.

          Cremation has taken place and a Graveside Service to honour Shirley will take place in the Tillsonburg Cemetery at a later date.  Deacon Vermel Stevens of St. John’s Anglican Church officiating.
