On Thursday October 3, 2024, we lost a beautiful soul, mother, sister, aunt, niece and friend. Sue was 64 years young. She spent her final days at Sakura House Hospice in Woodstock, Ontario. With her family and friends by her side she passed peacefully to the other side.
Sue was born in Kitchener, Ontario and attended St. Mary’s High School. She spent the majority of her career as a personal banker and enjoyed helping people. After leaving the banking world her need to help people continued on working at Home Hardware in Tavistock, a job she truly loved.
Sue took huge pride in her grandsons, doting over and spoiling them. Her favorite place to be was at the cabin on Lake Charlotte. She loved spending time with her family. Her love of gardening, flowers and helping people in need. She will be greatly missed for her off the wall sense of humour, crazy pranks, and creative ideas. She was truly one of a kind.
Sue will be greatly missed by her daughter Katie Murray (Brendan), son Garrett Wedge, grandsons Jackson and Declan, sibling David Killion (Connie), many loved nieces and nephews, and beloved friends. Sue is predeceased by her father Murray Killion, mother Shirley, brother Tom Killion, and husbands Eric Ostland, and David Wedge.
Sue’s wishes were to be cremated and scattered in a special place with a beautiful view. As per her wishes, she asked that all her family and friends remember her as she was and that she was very thankful to have final celebrations and visits in her final months. In lieu of flowers, prayers or memorial donations, Sue and her family invite all of those whose lives she touched to make a small random act of kindness to make someone’s day in memory of her.
