Tania Lynn Mc Donald, age 52, of Ingersoll, Ontario passed away peacefully Monday February 2, 2026 at the Sakura House Hospice in Woodstock, Ontario after a brave battle against cancer.
Born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia on November 25,1973, Tania moved to Ingersoll 26 years ago and raised her two daughters. Tania was a graduate of Glace Bay High School; she later joined the Militia and served until the birth of her daughter. While in Ingersoll she worked in the Cafeteria of the CAMI Plant for many years, and until most recently at Foodland.
Tania is survived by her daughters Jenna McDonald and Emma Phillips both at home, her sisters Alanna and Cathy McDonald of Glace Bay, nieces Emily McDonald of London Ontario, and Victoria McDonald of Glace Bay, N.S., nephew Blake (McDonald) Snow of Donkin, N.S., Billy Warren her brother by choice, her partner Todd Schermerhorn, and fur babies Millie and TBone. Tania was predeceased by her parents Murdock and Peanie ( nee Mackinnon) McDonald, paternal grandparents Howard and Mary (nee Currie) McDonald, maternal grandparents Alexander and Catherine (nee MacDonald) Mackinnon, her aunts Kay Devison, Eileen McNeil, and Barbara Morrison, uncles Elmer, Johnny, Robert, and Kevin Mc Donald, and a very special Uncle Jackie Mackinnon.
Tania made friends so very easily. Everyone was drawn to her light, her attitude, her infectious smile and a laugh that came from the heart. She had so many special friends it’s impossible to name them all. Her family was so blessed to have met some of them and so grateful they were there in her time of need.
Very special thanks to all who visited, sent her flowers and gifts, drove her to appointments, made food for the family, and kept her in their prayers. To her Doctors and Nurses at the Cancer Centre in London, to Sakura House Hospice for all the love and attention they had shown Tania and our family, and to the Ingersoll Christian Reformed Church for lovingly accepting her into their congregation.
There will be no visitation; cremation has taken place.
