Terry Murphy

February 9, 1963 — August 13, 2025

Woodstock, Ontario

We begin today with a tribute to a life well-lived, as we remember Terry Murphy, who passed away at the age of 62 on August 13, 2025, in Woodstock, Ontario.

Born on February 9, 1963, in Albert Mines, New Brunswick, Terry's journey through life was marked by his unwavering spirit and the deep connections he forged with those around him.  A long-time employee at Schneider's, and more recently Kevron, Terry was known for his dedication and work ethic.  Outside of work, Terry was a man of many interests.  He had a passion for woodworking and welding, often spending hours in his workshop creating and fixing things with a level of precision and care that spoke volumes about his character.  His love for nature was evident in the way he cherished his time outdoors, whether it was a quiet walk in the woods or an adventurous camping trip.  Family was the cornerstone of Terry's life.

He is survived by his loving partner, Jill Murphy, and their two children, Michael and Katie Murphy, who will carry forward his legacy of kindness and integrity.  Terry's sisters, Mary Groothuis (Hank), Teresa McCallum (Bob), and Margie Murphy, will remember him as a brother who was always there for them, offering his support and wisdom.  The bond he shared with his family was unbreakable and will be cherished in their hearts forever.

Those who knew Terry would describe him as a man who was not only handy and interesting but also deeply analytical.  He had a unique way of looking at the world, always seeking to understand the hows and whys of everything around him.  His inquisitive nature was one of the many qualities that made him such a fascinating individual to be around.  As we say goodbye to Terry Murphy, we celebrate the life of a man who touched so many with his talents, his laughter, and his love.  He will be greatly missed, but the impact of his presence will continue to be felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.   Terry's story is one of a life filled with passion, purpose, and the pursuit of happiness, a narrative that will be told and retold by those who loved him for years to come.

Private services will be observed by family in New Brunswick in the future.  Wareing Cremation Services, 225 Norwich Ave., Woodstock, Ontario were entrusted with Final Arrangements.  Your messages of remembrance and condolence may be shared here at www.wareingcremation.ca
