On Friday, May 21st, in her 84th year, Veronica peacefully transitioned into her eternal new home.
Veronica was loving mother to Paul Dryer and his wife June. She was predeceased by her husband of 29 years, Ian Harte Dryer. Remembered by sisters Kathleen Fitzgerald and Margaret (Robert) Craik and brothers Michael, Christopher (Edith), Jim (Brenda) and Daniel (Dawn) O’Brien. Step-Grandmother to Alex (Nicole) and great grandchildren Aidan and Sebastian.
Veronica was born in Hastings, England and courageously immigrated to Canada in 1957. She enjoyed a career in retail and hairstyling. Veronica loved to give back to community and volunteered for many years in Mississauga at the hospital and Catholic Women’s League, and in Waterloo with Out of the Cold and other community initiatives.
At Veronica’s request there will be no formal funeral visitation or service.
Veronica’s last years were spent in the dedicated care of many at Woodingford Lodge, Ingersoll, Ontario. We are grateful for each nurse, PSW, program staff, volunteer and resident who together created a family environment for her. She was very personable and brought a smile to many in her community.
