Wilma Knowlton

          On Saturday October 3rd, 2026 the world became a little quieter when our mother Wilma Knowlton left us.  Losing her has left a space in our lives that will never be replaced.

          Mom grew up in Cowdenbeath, Scotland, the youngest of 7, and her strength (some would say stubbornness) and independence came as a direct result of this early life.  She was our steady place in life’s challenges, our voice of reason, and the person who showed us what love looks like in action.  Her life wasn’t defined by titles or achievements - it was defined by the people she lifted up, the family she protected, and the kindness she gave without hesitation.

          She leaves behind her children Yvonne and John and their spouses Craig and Katie, grandchildren Rachel, Ryan and William, and great grandchild Rory.  We will miss her fiercely, and will honour her by living the way she taught us - open‑hearted, steady, and generous.

          Instead of flowers, we invite you to make a memorial donation to VON Sakura House in Woodstock, Ontario.
